Mindfulness in Schools

Project Aim

To teach Mindfulness as a life skill to students, teachers and teaching staff to enable them to use it as an integral part of their daily life both in and out of school.

What does the project entail

Paws .b is a Mindfulness curriculum for 7-11 year olds
.b Foundations a Mindfulness curriculum for Teachers and Teaching Staff Taster sessions for both curricula

Consultancy to establish Mindful cultures within educational environments

What is required from the school?

Access to a classroom with projector, whiteboard/screen and sound

How do the pupils directly benefit?

- To feel happier, calmer and more fulfilled

- To get on better with others

- To help them concentrate and learn better

- To help cope with stress and anxiety

- To perform better in whatever they do

- To be their best

The above life skills fit within the PSHE and Wellbeing agenda. Practising Mindfulness leads to a greater awareness and understanding of thoughts, emotions and feelings which can result in improved behaviour and relationships with an indirect benefit to the school community, family life and the community at large
